Rolling hills, a historic barn and quiet country views make Glasbern feel like a peaceful hideaway, and our Philadelphia wedding photographers were thrilled to celebrate there with Jenna and Jake. This charming inn sits in Fogelsville, in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. It is about an hour north of Philadelphia and just west of Allentown, yet it feels miles away from busy city life. Guests often say it feels like stepping into a storybook.
Glasbern has a sweet story. The land dates back to 1787, when it was first granted to a local farmer. In 1985, Al and Beth Granger bought the old, empty farm and carefully brought it back to life. The south side of the barn was all glass, so Beth came up with the name Glasbern, which is Old English for glass barn. The first guests arrived that December.
Today, the property has grown to well over a hundred acres of ponds, rock gardens, fields and farm buildings. The main inn lives inside a restored German bank barn, with original wooden beams and tall stone walls. It is now part of Historic Hotels of America. It is still a working farm too, so you might spot a few shaggy Highland cows strolling by! Every corner seems to have a story of its own.
Jenna and Jake’s French Country Wedding
Jenna and Jake grew up in the same school district and went to their ninth grade formal together. That is really where everything began! Since then, they have always loved doing the simple things side by side, like hiking, cozy movie nights and little day trips. After almost thirteen years together, they were so excited to begin this next chapter. We love a love story that started this young and kept growing.
Their wedding theme was French country, inspired by soft textures, romantic details and a cozy, elegant countryside feel. Bridesmaids planned to wear sage green, with groomsmen in charcoal grey. Lace and French toile were part of the decor, paired with sage and ivory flowers. It all came together to feel romantic, natural and beautifully simple. Their photos were edited in our Timeless style, which keeps those soft colors true.
Country inns like this are a dream to photograph. Barn beams, stone walls and wide fields give us so many backdrops in one place. As your wedding photographer team, we love capturing quiet moments as much as big ones, like a squeeze of the hand or a laugh shared with old friends. Our wedding videography team loves these days too, with the music, toasts and happy voices filling the barn.
Our team is based in Philadelphia, and we photograph weddings across the entire state of Pennsylvania. Historic inns, farms, city venues and gardens all keep us busy. For more Pennsylvania love stories and planning ideas, take a look at our blog.

Philadelphia Wedding Photographers at Glasbern
Original Weddings is a team of Philadelphia wedding photographers who love capturing couples all across Pennsylvania. Philadelphia is our home base, and we regularly photograph weddings on the Main Line, in Bucks County, Chester County and Lancaster. We also travel north to the Lehigh Valley, from Allentown and Bethlehem to Easton, whenever couples need us. The drive out to Fogelsville is quiet and pretty, with farmland stretching out on both sides of the road. Glasbern gave us so many lovely places to work, from the old barn to the gardens and ponds. Spending the day there with Jenna and Jake was a real joy for our team. We loved every minute.
Our photographers know how to work with soft country light, shady trees and warm indoor lighting. We plan portraits around the best light of the day and keep the timeline relaxed. Original Weddings keeps every wedding fun and stress free. We give gentle prompts, then step back so couples can enjoy each other and their guests. That approach creates timeless photos that feel honest and true. We never rush a moment. We also capture family, friends and the small details couples planned with so much care. Those images become treasures for years to come.
Philadelphia Wedding Videographers at Glasbern
Original Weddings also has a team of Philadelphia wedding videographers who love telling stories through sound and motion. Our filmmakers are based in Philadelphia and travel throughout Pennsylvania, from the Main Line and Bucks County to Lancaster, Allentown and Bethlehem. Filming at Glasbern is always special, with the historic barn and rolling fields making such a romantic setting. Soft country light and old wooden beams look beautiful on camera, and every scene feels warm.
A wedding film keeps the parts of the day that photos cannot fully hold. It saves the vows, the toasts, the laughter and the music that fills the night. Our videographers stay calm and quiet, so couples can relax and stay present. We record clear audio during the ceremony and speeches. We watch for every sweet reaction. Afterward, we edit the footage into a personal film with music that fits the mood of the day. Original Weddings wants every couple to press play and feel that same love all over again.
