CV Rich Mansion Wedding | Jonathan & Arianna

CV Rich Mansion in White Plains looks like it came straight out of an old movie. As New York wedding photographers, we love how this grand villa feels so tucked away, even though it is only about half an hour from Manhattan. Big lawns, shade trees and flower beds wrap around the house. It feels like a private country estate right in the middle of Westchester. Many guests are surprised that a place this peaceful sits so close to the city.

The mansion was built in 1911 as a summer home for a wealthy stockbroker. It has an Italian Renaissance Revival style, with graceful arches, French doors and original marble fireplaces. Since 1931, it has been the home of the Woman’s Club of White Plains, who have cared for it for nearly a century. The house is even listed on both the National and State Registers of Historic Places. You can read more about the CV Rich Mansion and its history on the club’s site.

Couples have lots of lovely spaces to use. Ceremonies can take place on the lawn, framed by perennial gardens and shade trees. The covered patio is perfect for a warm weather cocktail hour. Inside, guests can relax in the library, the living room or the glass walled sunroom before heading into the ballroom. For photos, we get classic architecture, garden greenery and soft light pouring through tall windows. It is elegant without feeling stiff.

Jonathan and Arianna’s Light Blue Jewish Wedding

Jonathan and Arianna met at an event Arianna was hosting through a Boston Jewish organization. It is fitting that a gathering brought them together, because they still love hosting events with friends. They also enjoy crosswords, bachata dancing and exercising together. These two clearly know how to have fun and fill a room with good energy. We love a couple whose story began with community.

Their wedding color was light blue, and that soft shade looks so fresh against green lawns and white stone. They asked us to focus on family and on their Jewish traditions. Moments like the ketubah signing, the chuppah and the hora are some of our very favorite things to capture. These are the parts of the day families look back on for generations.
