The building has an amazing backstory. It was once the largest macaroni factory in the world! Over the years, it was transformed into a home for artist lofts, creative businesses and event spaces. A Lacuna Lofts wedding lets couples celebrate inside a real piece of Chicago history. The original pillars, long hallways and industrial details are still part of the charm. Every corner is filled with one of a kind artwork from Chicago artists. There is even a steampunk chandelier and a shipping container bar, which guests always talk about. The historic timber and brick lofts give couples a warm, industrial backdrop. It is a dream for creative photos. And up top, the rooftop deck shows off breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline. Food is handled by the in-house caterer, LM Catering, so couples can relax and enjoy the evening.

Michael & Haley’s Cozy Fall Celebration in Pilsen

Michael and Haley met on Hinge in the fall of 2020. Haley had handed her phone to a friend to send messages, but grabbed it back when Michael’s profile popped up. On their first date, he offered to take her to her second favorite cubano spot, just in case the date did not go well. That earned him instant points! Over the next few years, they traveled to Spain, Greece and Ireland, moved in together in Wicker Park and adopted their sweet pup, Lando. Michael proposed in Paris. For their wedding, they wanted a cozy, modern eclectic fall feel with warm colors, candles and music. We love a love story with this much heart, humor and adventure in it.
