Our team headed up to Capitol Hill for a wedding at Reverie Ballroom, and it felt like stepping back in time. As Seattle wedding photographers, we adore venues with real history and real character. Reverie sits on East Pine Street, in one of the most lively neighborhoods in the city. Great cafes, shops and restaurants are just steps away. Yet once you climb the stairs, the busy street fades away.

Reverie Ballroom lives on the second floor of the historic Odd Fellows Hall, which was built in 1908. The building has been a gathering place for the community for more than a century. Today, Reverie is known as a home for social dancing in Seattle. Swing, salsa, bachata and more fill the floors during the week. It is a place made for music, movement and joy.

For weddings, that history is a big part of the charm. Reverie has two beautiful rooms, the Grand Ballroom and the Emerald Ballroom. Large windows bring in lots of natural light, and the classic architecture gives every photo a timeless feel. The open dance floors are perfect for a reception that keeps going late into the night. It is a dream for any couple who loves to dance, or simply loves a room with soul.

Danielle and Anthony’s Old Hollywood Wedding

Dancing brought Danielle and Anthony together, so this venue fits them perfectly. They met at The Ohio State University in 2018, during a charity dance marathon called BuckeyeThon. Anthony was teaching a swing dance class, and Danielle was there to learn. They grew close through ballroom dance. Later, they moved out to Seattle for graduate school and got engaged in 2024.

Their wedding style was inspired by Old Hollywood. Black, gold, hunter green and plum purple made up their colors. Everything about the vision felt elegant and sophisticated, like a classic movie come to life. A historic ballroom was the perfect stage for it. We love when a couple’s story and their venue fit together this naturally. Their photos were edited in our Timeless style, which suits that vintage glamour so well.
