Good Tree Farmstead Wedding | Madelyn & David

Picture a bright red barn, big shady trees and wide open country sky. That is Good Tree Farmstead in Northfield, Minnesota, and we fell for it right away. As Minneapolis wedding photographers, we love a farm venue that feels both rustic and elegant. It sits just outside the cute downtown of Northfield, about forty minutes south of the Twin Cities. Guests get a peaceful country escape without a long drive.

The heart of the property is the red barn, built in 1897. Inside, soaring ceilings and old pegged beams give the space so much warmth and character. Other farm buildings around the yard add even more charm, and each one tells a bit of the farm’s long story. Good Tree Farmstead has turned this old homestead into a place where couples can celebrate in a truly Minnesota way. It still feels like a working farm, just dressed up for a party.

Couples love the mix of spaces here. Ceremonies can happen outside among the trees, with fresh air and green fields all around. Then guests move into the barn for dinner, toasts and dancing under the old beams. There is water on the property too, which adds a lovely spot for portraits. For photos, we get weathered wood, golden fields, tall trees and soft evening light. It is a dream setting for anyone who loves a natural, cozy feel.

Madelyn and David’s Rustic Secret Garden Tea Party Wedding

Madelyn and David met at a gym in St. Paul. He walked up, asked for her number and the rest is history. They started dating just six days after their first date and have been together ever since. These two really enjoy playing video games together. They also love hitting the gym and heading out on little adventures, wherever the day takes them. We love a couple who keeps life fun and active together.

Their theme was a secret garden tea party with a rustic twist. Think soft blues and pinks, lots of greenery and touches of champagne and pearl. Those gentle colors look so sweet against a red barn and green fields. Faith is also a big part of their life, and their celebration reflected that. It all came together in a way that felt cozy, whimsical and full of love.
