For their fall wedding, Sonia and Michael chose Church Ranch Event Center in Westminster, and our Denver wedding photographers were thrilled to be there. This rustic venue sits along the Front Range between Denver and Boulder. It is known for having a city location with a true mountain feel. Tall aspen trees, flowing water, and lush gardens make it feel like a hidden oasis.

The property has deep western roots. It was once part of more than twenty seven thousand acres owned by the Church family in the early nineteen hundreds. By 1914, a horse barn stood here as a stagecoach stop on the Overland Stage Route. Later, the land became a nursery that grew trees and flowers for the growing Denver area.

Today, that old barn is the Great Hall. Guests walk through a glass barn door into a room with vaulted ceilings and exposed wooden beams. Outside, ceremonies take place on a flagstone stage tucked among towering aspens. Water features and shade trees surround the space, so it stays pretty in every season. The venue can welcome a few hundred guests, which makes it great for big families.
