Central Park engagement for Hayley and Ryan was absolutely a dream to photograph in New York City. This amazing spot is considered the architectural heart of the park’s lower section. The Bethesda Terrace itself is a stunning piece of old architecture. The shoot took place around the Bethesda Terrace Fountain. It features intricate stonework and detailed carvings. It was built to be a beautiful gathering space for all the park’s visitors.
The Bethesda Fountain sits at the center of the lower level. It has the Angel of the Waters statue on top. This beautiful bronze angel is a symbol of purity and healing. It makes for the most romantic background in engagement photography. The whole area has a feeling of timeless elegance. We love taking photos under the Arcade, which is beneath the Terrace. It has a unique ceiling made of nearly 16,000 colorful tiles. The light that filters through there is just gorgeous for capturing intimate moments.
Hayley and Ryan’s story is so fun! They first met for ramen after connecting on Hinge. They later discovered Hayley had already met Ryan’s brother and sister in law, Sienna, because Sienna was a colleague at the vet hospital where Hayley worked. That’s a small world! They love exploring new places and foods. They have traveled to Costa Rica and various spots in Europe. They also head back to California whenever they can to visit Hayley’s family. They share their home life with two adorable cats named Magnus and Ripley. We were so excited to capture their love in this amazing place!
