Engagement Photography Services at Elizabeth Park | Kaitlynn & Samuel

Kaitlynn and Samuel chose Elizabeth Park for their engagement session, and our Engagement Photography Services team loved every corner of it. This historic park sits on the line between Hartford and West Hartford. It covers about one hundred acres of lawns, gardens, and winding paths. In every season, it feels calm, green, and full of charm.

The park has a lovely story. Charles Pond gave his estate to the city of Hartford and asked that it become a public park named after his wife, Elizabeth. The park opened to the public in 1897. The famous Olmsted firm helped shape the landscape, and that classic design still shows today.

The star of Elizabeth Park is its rose garden. Built in 1904, it is the oldest municipally operated rose garden in the country. It holds around fifteen thousand rose bushes and hundreds of varieties. Arches covered in climbing roses, a rustic summer house, a pond, and colorful flower beds make it a dream for photos. No wonder so many couples come here for engagement sessions.

Kaitlynn and Samuel’s Cinematic Park Session

Kaitlynn and Samuel met in 2020 while working together at a healthcare practice. They became close friends first. After Kaitlynn dropped some very obvious hints, Sam finally caught on, and they started dating in March 2022. Since then, they have moved across the country together and supported each other through many big life changes. Their story is a sweet reminder that great love often starts with friendship.

They love anything outdoors, time with family, relaxing around a firepit, and finding little adventures together. Sam is the laid back one, while Kaitlynn loves to research and plan every detail. For their engagement photos, they hoped for a romantic, candid, and cinematic feel, with lots of movement and natural posing.

That style is exactly what we love. During an engagement session, we keep things light and fun. We give simple prompts, like walking together or sharing a secret, and let real moments happen. This helps couples relax, and it also gets them comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding.

Our team is based in Hartford, and we offer engagement photography all across Connecticut. Each engagement photographer on our team works to make the session feel like a fun date, not a stiff photo shoot. We also love helping couples plan outfits and timing, so the light and the look come together just right for the photos they have in mind.
