Highfield Hall and Gardens in Falmouth feels like stepping into a storybook. As Providence wedding photographers, we were so happy to head down to Cape Cod for this one. The grand Queen Anne style mansion sits on a hill, wrapped in lawns, old trees and flower beds. It is the kind of place where every path seems to lead to something pretty. Couples who dream of a classic New England setting will feel right at home here.
The house has a fascinating past. It was built in 1878 as a summer home for the Beebe family from Boston. Years later it nearly fell apart, until the local community stepped in to save it in the 1990s. After a careful restoration, Highfield Hall and Gardens opened again as a cultural center with art shows, concerts and programs all year. Wedding guests get to celebrate inside a real piece of Cape Cod history. We think that makes a wedding here feel extra meaningful.
The estate covers about six acres of sweeping lawns, heirloom trees and two historic gardens. All around it sits Beebe Woods, a protected forest of roughly four hundred acres with quiet walking trails. Couples often say their vows outside in the garden, then gather on the veranda for cocktails. Dinner can happen inside the mansion or under a tent on the grounds. For photos, we get grand architecture, blooming garden beds and soft woodland light all in one spot.
Athena and James’s Pastel Garden Wedding
Athena and James met on Hinge. A simple match turned into something real, and now here they are. They love going on runs together, which tells you a lot about this pair. They keep each other moving, they cheer each other on and they enjoy the simple time side by side. We love a love story that started with one little swipe.
Their wedding blended Asian and Western traditions, and their style was pastel and airy. Soft, light colors feel right at home in a garden setting like this. Pale tones next to green lawns and bright blooms create such a fresh, dreamy look. It is a great fit for our Airy editing style, which keeps everything bright, clean and full of light. Blending two traditions in one day is such a beautiful way to honor both families.
