We also adored getting to know Nikhil and Rupa. This evening was their welcome dinner, held just before the wedding day, bringing together their closest family and friends in a relaxed, joyful setting. Their story began at a party in the summer of 2021. They met, chatted and then went home without exchanging numbers. Nikhil was too shy, but he did have Rupa’s Instagram handle. The only problem was that he didn’t even have an account. So he made one that night at age 30, added everyone he knew, and sent her a message. From there, they spent seven months talking about life, family, goals and everything in between. They still debate who asked who out first, and whether grabbing pizza counted as a real date. No matter whose version is right, it led them to this moment, and that is what truly matters.
