There’s something so magical about a Bluebird Farm Wedding. Every time we photograph here, we’re reminded of how peaceful and inviting the surroundings feel. The venue sits tucked away in the Hartford countryside, surrounded by open fields and rolling hills. It’s rustic. It’s natural. It’s the kind of place where love feels right at home. We love it when couples choose Bluebird Farm because it gives them a space that’s both laid-back and elegant at the same time. You can dress it up with flowers and décor, or keep it simple with the charm of wood, greenery, and fresh air. Either way, it’s beautiful.
Bluebird Farm has a way of making weddings feel relaxed. The barn and open lawn are perfect for gatherings. Guests can enjoy the scenery, wander the grounds, and feel like they’re part of something cozy and personal. It never feels too formal here. Instead, it feels warm. Real. The kind of place where friends and family come together to celebrate love in a natural setting. That’s what makes it stand out from so many other wedding venues in Connecticut.
As photographers, we love the variety at Bluebird Farm. The light is always stunning, especially during golden hour when the fields glow. The open sky and wide landscapes give us endless backdrops to work with. Every angle feels alive with color and texture. From tall grasses to rustic wood, there’s always something that adds character to the photos. We can’t help but get excited about documenting weddings here because the space truly allows us to tell a story that feels unique every time.
Dominique and Robert’s wedding was such a joy to capture at this venue. Their love story and energy brought so much life to the day. We didn’t need fancy details to feel the beauty of their celebration—it was all about connection. That’s exactly why Bluebird Farm was such a perfect match for them. A rustic, backyard BBQ feel with earthy colors fits seamlessly into this space. It felt authentic. It felt like them. And that’s what we always hope for when we tell a couple’s story through photos.
Many of our couples share their experiences and kind words on our blog and reviews page—you can explore those stories to see how their wedding day felt through our lens.

Bluebird Farm Wedding Cost
Before we dive into the beauty, let’s talk about cost. At Bluebird Farm CT, starting packages begin around \$1,999 for smaller events. For their fuller “Platinum” package — including exclusivity, barn, treehouse, and more — pricing may reach $5,500 to $8,500 depending on guest count, season, and add-ons. As a photographer, I appreciate that Bluebird Farm is upfront about pricing. That clarity means couples, vendors, and we can plan confidently. When we shoot a rustic, backyard-BBQ style wedding there, we know ahead what spaces and hours we’ll have — so we can capture light and emotion without surprises.
Bluebird Farm Willington, CT
Now, let’s zoom in on where this magic happens. Bluebird Farm is located in Willington, Connecticut, just east of Hartford, nestled in rolling hills and green fields. The venue is a working 40-acre farm, offering a wedding season from April through November. Couples enjoy the renovated barn, outdoor deck, garden gazebo, treehouse, and wide open fields to shape their celebrations. As a photographer, that location gives me so many options throughout the day — fields, woodlines, barn doors, soft backdrops. The rural setting helps rustic color palettes of greens, browns, and orangey yellows shine.
Treehouse at Bluebird Farm
Let me tell you about one of my favorite details: the Treehouse at Bluebird Farm. This isn’t just for show — it’s a livable, charming cabin built among the trees. It can accommodate up to 4 people and includes modern comforts like a kitchenette, bathroom, shower, and large windows. From the vantage point of a photographer, the Treehouse is pure magic. It offers intimate portraits with dappled light, views from above the ground, and a natural windowed frame around your couple. We love using it as a dramatic backdrop or cozy capture space — part sanctuary, part story element in the Bluebird Farm Wedding album.
