Cheney Mansion Wedding // Melissa & Doug

It began with a swipe—and led to a timeless celebration at one of Oak Park’s most charming estates. Melissa and Doug’s elegant Cheney Mansion wedding brought vintage beauty to life, framed by romantic gardens and glowing spring lights. Nestled in the heart of Oak Park, Cheney Mansion’s historic charm and expansive grounds set the perfect scene for a celebration that felt intimate, stylish, and utterly joyful.

Melissa and Doug met on Hinge in March 2022. From their first date, they knew this was something special. Their shared love for family, travel, and their fur babies grew into a deep connection—one they chose to honor in a place just as timeless as their love story.

We began the day capturing quiet, elegant moments as Melissa got ready inside the mansion, glowing with natural light and Sandy Thinnes’ soft, polished makeup artistry. As a Chicago wedding photography team, we love when a venue gives us texture and tone—and Cheney Mansion delivered both in every hallway and window frame.

Their first look on the grand staircase was full of emotion, followed by a lush outdoor ceremony framed with floral artistry by Phillips–Robert Koene. The blend of pinks, peaches, creams, and golds added warmth and richness to the gardens, mirrored in the softly lit dinner setting inside.

We specialize in transforming Illinois weddings into visual stories that breathe. Our photography and videography team works across the state to ensure no detail goes unseen.
