Masonic Temple Wedding // Brit & Sarah

Our team stepped into Brit and Sarah’s Masonic Temple Wedding, and what greeted us was a fusion of graceful romance and joyful celebration that felt utterly authentic. The soaring neogothic arches, warm uplighting, and the way the brides glowed in their white gowns made the room feel both elegant and electric. Every chandelier, drapery fold, and heartfelt glance whispered the promise of an unforgettable day.

Both brides wore elegant white gowns and walked down the aisle to music played by Sarah’s cousin Robyn, with cousin Michelle officiating. Their ceremony felt intimate and meaningful, especially as they exchanged personal vows beneath the glowing arches of the temple. Soft pink and purple uplighting filled the grand hall, adding warmth and romance. As their professional wedding photographer, we captured every soft glance, joyful tear, and graceful detail with intention. After a delicious plated dinner, toasts and first dances set the tone before the Forella Events brought the party to life—while our videographer preserved every spin, cheer, and heartfelt moment.

Brit and Sarah met while working on Democratic campaigns in Michigan, and after six years, a cross-country move, and countless adventures in their camper with their chihuahua Nix, this wedding felt like the perfect next chapter in their story.

We’re a Detroit-based wedding photography and videography team, and it was a joy to document this celebration. If you’re planning a wedding in Detroit or anywhere in Michigan, we offer packages tailored to real love stories like yours. Our couples absolutely love their experience with us—you can even look at their real reviews to see why.

Masonic Temple Detroit History

Originally opened in 1926, the Detroit Masonic Temple holds the title as the largest structure of its kind in the world. Designed by George D. Mason in a striking neo-Gothic style, the building houses over a thousand rooms, including theaters, a chapel, two ballrooms, a gymnasium, and even a bowling alley. A fascinating detail: its cornerstone was laid in 1922 using the same ceremonial trowel once used by George Washington, tying national heritage to Detroit’s architectural legacy. Hosting your celebration here adds rich historic depth and architectural splendor to your special day.
