Soaring glass walls, a sunny garden and food inspired by the French Riviera made Fleurette a treat for our whole team. As San Diego wedding photographers, we get excited about new spots that bring something fresh to the city. Fleurette sits in the La Jolla area, near UTC, and opened in December 2025. Even though it is new, it already feels like a local favorite. It is bright, elegant and welcoming all at once.

Fleurette is the second restaurant from Chef Travis Swikard, the San Diego native behind Callie in the East Village. His cooking style is called cuisine du soleil, which means cuisine of the sun. It focuses on light, bright flavors from the coast of southern France and Italy, made with fresh local ingredients. Guests rave about the warm service and the beautiful plates that come out of the kitchen.

The space itself is stunning. The dining room has twenty four foot glass walls and an art museum feel, with high ceilings and hanging sculptures. Behind the restaurant, there is a Provençal style garden designed by the chef’s own father, a landscape architect. For private events, couples can use a private dining room, a garden atrium or the whole restaurant. Natural light pours in everywhere, which makes it a dream for photos.

Victoire and Brett chose Fleurette for their celebration, and it is easy to see why. The restaurant’s bright rooms and garden setting fit a soft, light look perfectly. They chose our Airy editing style, which brings out gentle colors and plenty of brightness. With all that sunshine filling the space, the style felt right at home. We are so thankful they invited our team to be part of their day.
