Whitney and Chris first met in 2020 through a dating app during the height of the pandemic. Before meeting in person, they spent time getting to know each other through Zoom dates. When they finally met, they skipped the traditional coffee shop and headed to a local soccer field instead. As lifelong goalkeepers, kicking a soccer ball around felt like the perfect first date. They continued building their relationship through hikes, movie nights, takeout dinners, and simple adventures that brought them closer together.
Today, they still enjoy spending time outdoors whenever they can. They love hiking, camping, golfing, reading, and traveling together. Chris proposed during a trip to The Masters Tournament, adding another unforgettable chapter to their story. Both also work in natural resource careers, Chris in fire suppression and Whitney in fisheries management. Their shared passion for protecting the environment made Winter View Lodge the perfect place to celebrate with the people they love.
