Seattle Asian Art Museum wedding celebrations are simply the best. We were so excited to photograph Nicole and Kristofer’s big day! This museum is one of our favorite locations to work at in all of Washington. The venue is truly beautiful. It sits right in the middle of the lovely Volunteer Park. The building is special because it has that classic Art Deco look. It was first built way back in 1933. Now it has modern touches, thanks to a careful renovation. This mix of historic charm and fresh design is great for amazing wedding photography.
The inside spaces are stunning. The Fuller Garden Court, for example, has a tall skylit ceiling. This lets in gorgeous natural light which is perfect for pictures. The venue is filled with famous Asian art, which makes for a sophisticated and cultural background. It’s a grand setting for a ceremony or a party. Nicole and Kristofer chose this beautiful spot for their wedding. Their ceremony was indoors, which is smart and cozy no matter the weather. We love capturing weddings here. Nicole and Kristofer have a great history together. They first met playing on an adult rec soccer team about twelve years ago. They were friends first, and then they started dating a couple of years later. They have been a couple for eleven years! That’s real commitment. They even had a small elopement on December 10th last year. It was a sweet, private ceremony with just Kristofer’s parents and Nicole’s kids. This bigger day was a joyful time to celebrate with everyone else.
