Jefferson Street Mansion wedding for Clara and Rhasaan was a pure dream to photograph in Benicia! We were so excited to be their professional wedding photographer and videographer. This historic estate is truly beautiful. It is tucked away in the historic area of Benicia, California. The mansion itself was built in 1861. It was once the Executive Officer’s Quarters for the Historic Benicia Arsenal. The mansion is designed in a fancy neoclassical or Empire style. It is full of vintage charm and has been beautifully restored. This venue is located in Benicia but our San Francisco wedding photographers were there for session.
We love the Jefferson Street Mansion because it has so many wonderful spots for photos. The property gives you amazing water views of the Carquinez Strait, which is part of the Bay. The outside ceremony area is gorgeous. Couples can exchange vows under a lovely wisteria draped veranda or arbor. There are also manicured gardens with fountains and statues. The reception is often held in the big, elegant tented pavilion. This pavilion has market lights and chandeliers, which is perfect for capturing dancing. The whole setting is just amazing for a wedding photography session.
Clara and Rhasaan have such a sweet family. They share a very spunky four year old son together. We know they wanted some super fun shots with him on their wedding day.
