We were so excited to be part of Cheyenne and Nicholas’s day. Their story is one of those college love stories that just makes you smile. They met their freshman year at Carleton College in Minnesota, living just down the hall from one another. Almost nine years later, they’ve built a life full of adventure and love. After college, they moved to Seattle, where Cheyenne even worked at IslandWood. That makes this venue even more meaningful to them. Now they live in California and recently finished grad school at Stanford. We loved hearing about their life together, from hikes and home-cooked meals to time spent with their cat, Charles, and dog, Blue.
Their wedding was outdoors, surrounded by nature. It reflected their African American heritage and felt like a beautiful blend of tradition and personality. As wedding photographers, we love working with couples who bring their full selves to their wedding day. It helps us tell their story with honesty and heart.
