Jens and Lisa’s story is one that warms the heart. They met in such a beautiful way — while Lisa was caring for Jens’s elderly mother. Over time, they discovered how much they had in common. They share a love for music and great concerts — they’ve seen the Australian Pink Floyd show three years in a row! They also love to travel and have a special place in their hearts for New Orleans. One of their favorite memories is seeing Jimmy Buffett perform one of his final concerts in Key West. Jens is a chef and has a deep passion for cooking, and together they enjoy fine dining, good food, and everything that makes life flavorful.
Their wedding theme reflected that same spirit — joyful, colorful, and full of warmth. Originally, they planned for periwinkle blue and grape purple, but when finding décor in those shades proved tricky, they decided on a wildflower aesthetic instead. It turned out to be a beautiful choice, full of life and color. The ceremony was held indoors in the Barrel Room, surrounded by soft uplighting and floral details. The floral arch, created with layers of vibrant (fake) flowers, added a cheerful backdrop for photos. We especially loved capturing the moment of Jens and Lisa together, smiling as the candlelight glowed — one of those quiet, emotional moments that make wedding photography so meaningful.
Throughout the day, every detail came together beautifully. The dress, from Hana Novias, fit the day’s classic yet personal style. The décor, managed by QFC, added color and texture to the setting. And the cake by Traci Knight was the sweetest finishing touch — the perfect way to end such a heartfelt celebration.
